Jim
FOUNDER
If there's one thing that Jim doesn’t like, it's sitting still. Growing up in Nijmegen, he first discovered his desire to move his body when he started practicing capoeira at the age of ten. Since then, he has never stopped moving and was introduced to Movement during his bachelor's, at the ALO.
Jim has gained knowledge and skills in many different places and has attended numerous workshops. Including intensive training of one of the 26 mentorship students of Ido Portal in Mexico. Since 2019, he has followed and received personal guidance online from grandmaster Ido Portal In addition to this training, Jim is also a certified breath coach. Jim's clients describe him as enthusiastic, humorous, and goal-oriented. Jim allows and encourages everyone to develop at their own pace and level in a fun and comfortable way.

Chris
FOUNDER
After completing his studies 'Health, Lifestyle, Sports & Physical Activity,’ Chris started working as a personal trainer and yoga teacher, where his adventure as a Mover began. Chris is fascinated by movement and continuously challenges himself to acquire knowledge and new skills. With his strong discipline, professional guidance, and personal approach, he knows how to excite and motivate anyone (from beginners to experienced athletes) to exercise more often.
Chris thinks outside the box and continues to invent new methods to increase the body’s strength and flexibility. To this day, he enthusiastically follows the programming of Ido Portal and Fighting Monkey, assuring himself he constantly learns and finds new ways of physical empowerment. Chris believes that if you take good care of yourself, you can push yourself and thoroughly enjoy an energetic body and mind.

Virgil
TEACHER
For thirty years, former Olympic athlete Virgil Spier* built incredible explosive power. Yet, his elite fitness came with a painful paradox: he could sprint 40km/h and move massive weights, but couldn't sit through a movie or walk for an hour without aching pains. His athletic mastery had trapped him in a shrinking physical cage.
Determined to reclaim his body, Virgil sought out world-class teachers and discovered a profound truth: true health isn't just about extreme physical capacity, but the continuous cultivation of physical options for everyday life.
Today, as the co-founder of Movement Based Athletics, Virgil has traded grim, repetitive discipline for joyful exploration and research. His practice bridges the gap between athletic conditioning and play. By replacing traditional exercises with improvisation, communicative partnering, play fighting, and out of the box thinking, Virgil uses movement as the ultimate school of life, helping people build resilience, move with grace, and stay adaptable for the long haul.

Djaï
TEACHER
I am Djaï, a movement practitioner since 2016, raised up primarily with the methods of Ido Portal.I believe in the power of play in training and using movement to renew both body and mind. My specialty is handstands, my obsession is floorwork, and my passion is locomotion.
In every class I hope to challenge every level of mover. Even if you’re new, just come ready to explore and level up your movement!

Stas
TEACHER
Movement for me is about experiencing freedom. Physical training prepares the body to open up possibilities for where the mind wants to take it.My journey started with Judo as a little kid. Then as a teenager I became obsessed with bodybuilding, which later transitioned to powerlifting and calisthenics. I quickly wanted to learn everything there is to know and start helping others. For the last 6 years Movement Training has been my bread and butter. I love to combine strength, balance, mobility with coordination, acrobatics and locomotion. My emphasis for training and teaching is to always do things in a way that forces you to learn and be mindful. Once you can do something completely on autopilot, it has lost its value.
As a teacher my goal is to safely guide others to start uncovering the many layers we can tap into through movement. Connecting to the body, connecting to our breath, to the ground, to each other… Then exploring these connections in different scenarios from gymnastic strength or acrobatics to soft expressive movement or play.

Pablo
TEACHER
I'm Pablo, originally from Spain. Growing up as a competitive tennis player taught me discipline and a love for movement from an early age.Later, I discovered calisthenics, where training became more than exercise, it became a fun, skill-based practice driven by community and personal growth. Through my own challenges with stiffness and mobility, I began exploring disciplines such as kettlebell training, rope flow, and mobility work, which expanded my understanding of movement beyond strength alone.
Today, I combine calisthenics, strength training, mobility, and exploratory movement to help people build strength, move with greater freedom, and develop a sustainable relationship with their bodies. I'm passionate about continuous learning and helping others enjoy the process of becoming stronger, healthier, and more mobile.

Movement is a cutting‑edge approach to mental and physical fitness and wellness. As an activity discipline, it combines controlled, compound movements from routines like Modern Dance, Martial Arts, Acrobatics, Parcours, Mobility, Calisthenics, Gymnastics, Pilates and Yoga in an athletic and playful way. It optimizes movement quality, mobility, functional strength, coordination and creativitiy.
The philosophy focuses on flow and resilience with a creative edge so that body and mind can move through and over life’s obstacles effortlessly, with a stillness aspect of meditation, ice baths and breathwork for balance and focus. It’s moving like a superhero!
